BTW: regarding Ruby/Rails popularity... I get Dr. Dobb's Journal and this month's cover story is on Rails. In the article they mention how they will be tracking the progress of Rails because they believe it is a disruptive technology (disruptive for Java) that is nearing the tipping point. If you are interested, here is a summary from the Ruby Japanese list regarding the Ruby Kaigi (Conference) 2006: Sasada of the Ruby Kaigi writes: 1.
