fyi, also I had no issue just showing up and registering for a exhibit pass last year.
exhibit hall pass gets you this

   * Entrance to the Exhibit Hall and all events held in the Exhibit
     Hall, including the Exhibit Hall Reception
   * Admission to the Products & Services track

   * Admission to Vendor Presentations held in the Exhibit Hall (see
