Jax sounds nice but probably needs to be booked quickly. I prefer not just going to the bar. Even the smallest presentations can be really insightful and stir-up good discussion. Beer + presentation is even better!

The PLUG Advanced Topics, POSSE and Copynight groups (and maybe more) all meet there happily.
