I'll be giving the following presentation at BarCampPortland on May 12th -- http://barcamp.org/BarCampPortland
"Scaling Rails Applications" -- Practical solutions for making Ruby on Rails fast enough for use on high-traffic websites. Discusses tools and recipes used for optimizing performance, clustering, management and hosting. This technical talk is aimed at programmers and system administrators that want to speed up existing Rails applications or want to do so in the future. Presentation slides can be downloaded from http://koshevoy.com/presentations/scaling_rails_slides.pdf I gave this presentation to yesterday's very patient group and will incorporate their good feedback into making the next one better. Among other things, I'll include diagrams, code and concrete examples to clarify the recipes I'm discussing. See you there. -igal _______________________________________________ PDXRuby mailing list [email protected] IRC: #pdx.rb on irc.freenode.net http://lists.pdxruby.org/mailman/listinfo/pdxruby
