I just installed a new instance of the latest and greatest Pebble (2.6.2
for the record). I configured it to use the TitlePermalinkProvider provider
I noticed that on the second blog entry I made the RSS URL pointed to a
404. The reason was that I updated the blog entry the next day and the URL
that was in the feed was yesterday's URL (
http://myblog.com/blog/2012/10/08/my_entry_topic.html). This URL doesn't
work anymore and instead the blog entry's URL is now set to
http://myblog.com/blog/2012/10/09/my_entry_topic.html.
Of course, having blog entries URL changing is is a horrendous practice in
terms of everything (SEO, bookmarks, links posted in forums, feeds, etc)
I also noticed that changing the title of the entry results in pretty much
the same problem as the URL changes.
>From my point of view, there are two solutions to this problem:
1. Either the URL should not change automatically - as in never ever.
2. Or the old URL should redirect to the new URL automatically (think
HTTP 301)
What are the best ways in dealing with this in Pebble?
