Eliana, Are you using PEBL 0.14 or 2.0? This change moved to an updated graphics/sound/input library, and there were a couple changes that may have impacted audio--both fixing some past issues and maybe introducing new ones. This could stem from a number of things, including how your audio files are encoded (what rate, stereo, etc.) and whether they are all of the same format. In addition, there are two audio playback systems available in 0.14 (only one in 2.0), and so I can't diagnose what is happening unless I know exactly which system and function call you are using. Generally this can sometimes be avoided if you pad silence at the end of an audio file, or play around with Play and PlayBackground(). However, it could also stem from bugs in drivers or audio decoding hardware on the particular tablet you are using as well.
Can you: 1. tell me which version of PEBL you are using 2. Send me a .zip file with the task you are using, or a pared-down one in which includes just the critical code? You might also try moving from 0.14 to 2.0 or from 2.0 to 0.14 and see if the same issues still arise.
