The only real way for deployment on any linux is to compile from source. 
You should be able to download the HEAD or PEBL_2_0 branch from the
subversion/svn system at sf.net/projects/pebl.  You will need to install
several development libraries, including libsdl, libsdl_ttf, libsdl_image,
libsdl_net, libsdl_gfx, dos2unix, and probably some other development
libraries like g++ and the like.  There are some lines you can edit
manually in the Makefile, and then simply type make. If it compiles
correctly, you need to make install as superuser, and PEBL is then
accessible via /usr/local/bin/pebl2
