Hello all, My name is Uday and I am a data automation engineer at Black Duck Software.
I am looking at ways to fetch information on pecl packages programmatically without having to scrape pecl.php.net. I would like to seek your help in finding information if there is a `REST API` that I could leverage or if pecl supports `rsync`. With pear-php, I notice that there is REST API that gives information in XML documents. Is there something similar for pecl? Where can I find the documentation for it? I am interested in information as follows: 1. Packages have releases(s) and a description about the package i.e. why a package was created 2. Releases have dependencies (With information about them) and release information 3. Download statistics, authors, maintainers, developers, documentation URL, bug tracking information etc. I would like to get as much information about a package on PECL in the most automated / repeatable fashion. Please advise. I am open to suggestions and improvements to an approach PECL community deems fit. Best Uday Disclaimer The information contained in this communication from the sender is confidential.
