If I may allow, I believe that many ext tests could be enhanced using

To be honest, it has been a while since I had an opportunity to code in C.
Yes it could be a good starting point to enhance the existing tests and
it's my professional job ;)
We should start also by a "QA Release" to add the PHP 7.3 compatibility.
