[PECL-DEV] PECL Sphinx search client won't build with v7.3.3 of PHP

Hello

I am trying to build the Sphinx client PECL extension (v1.3.3) and the 
make process is failing and producing tons of errors - I have PHP v7.3.3 
installed - is Sphinx compatible with PHP v7.x? If not then is there a 
timeline to have Sphinx ported to v7.x?
