Thank you for the reply, Christoph. Someone did help but after resetting my password (which was successful, supposedly), I could not log in with my changed password. ☹ In other words, I need to trouble someone with database access to reset it for me again.

Unfortunately, there is no way to reset a password via the user interface. If you have no valid password (i.e. you can't log in), someone with direct access to the database (I'm not one of those) would have to change your password there, and send it to. Afterwards you should be able to login, and then you can (and should) go to your account settings[1] and *change* the password (via the form at the bottom of that page).
