This issue has been resolved long ago.  Latest redis (5.3.4) is
supposed to be compatible with PHP 7 and 8.

Also note that the redis bugtracker is on Github[1] for a while
now.

This bug is not related to PHP itself but to the redis extension (and cannot 
reaffected it)
