The .bas is the source files. You can view them in any notepad, even the text editor built into DXP. (I hope it's there, P99se had a really nice text editor)

To make these .bas files work, in P99se, we would open a blank PCB, then in the big arrow down menu, select "run script", then select my .ddb file, selecting the "xxxx.bas" file. Protel then would open up my dialog to fill in the specs.

For the spiral generator, pls excuse the cheesy dialogs, it was my first program, once filled in, a spiral would be generated on the blank PCB.

For my QFP/TSSOP generator, this was done much later. In 99se, this would be run in the PCB footprint editor & it has a nice dialog entry window.

Ok, I figured out that ddb is the protel99 database format. Well, I imported that into DXP and got a number of schematic and pcb libraries, but no bas files. Apparently these don't import. Can you post the source files in a zip?

thx,

Tom

It's 1 file zipped, get it here:

The included Supercompact schematic components are also well worth it...
