Excellent. A couple of weeks ago my Protel 99SE (schematic) started crashing/hanging upon opening schematics. Traced to our company libray .ddb file on our network. Library .ddb file (read only) was fine, (I had to do a whole design with the file open in Protel and doing place component and hoping it would appear on the correct page of schematic, very slow and painful). Add library back and Protel would crash. Re-installed Protel no change, deleted .ini files, no change. Anyway doing what you suggested, Protel 99SE works fine, back to what I am used to.
