Some day the following info appeared on the forum:

--------------------
You can open them with Access but it is not all that useful.
The Access database structure is only used for the high level, hierarchical
document tree as seen in the "Explorer" tab of Protel Design Manager panel.
The contents of the individual design databases (PCB layout, Schematic, etc.)
are stored as data "Blobs" in proprietary binary format.
The .ddb file is password protected. The password was previously revealed by
someone in this forum as: "Manteghulteir". I do not know if this is the
current password.

Hi,

Is there a way to import a 99SE DDB into Access? When doing so Access asks for a
password. Can anybody give me a hint how jump that "security barrier"?

Regards
Stefan.
