Leo,
There is a Protel process function for measuring items that I have used
previously. It is not in the standard menus or toolbars but you can easily add
it. It will give you the length of selected traces. I never tried to use it on
a bunch of arcs like you have but for regular orthagonal/45 degree traces I
always found it worked well. One caveat, it does measure vertex to vertex, not
to the actual rounded end of a trace.
the process is called: PCB:MeasureSelectedObjects

Thanks Abd, the 'split up and measure the parts' approach worked.
The method Casey suggested was no option: P99SE has no 'report-measure
selected objects', only 'measure distance' (measure objects measures
clearance).
Since the coil is made up of over 400 parts and spread over six layers it
took some fiddling: I split it into six parts (one for each layer) and
summed those. I was hoping to avoid that alltogether, but sometimes the
unmentionable just happens....
Turns out to be a total of roughly 350 inches (!), resulting in a
resistance of roughly 30 Ohms (using 6 mil traces and 35 microns copper).
Hmmm....Looks like I need wider traces, resistance must be below 15 Ohms.
Oh well, back to the drawing board then....
