Strange as it may seem, have you tried the following:

 - selecting a different default printer or update it's drivers.

 - don't run Outlook while 99SE is running.

 - check that there aren't any other apps running (like office quick
start, etc).

 - update your video driver.

 - do they have the same brand/type/speed CPU?  Maybe they handle
calculation floating point exception errors differently?

 - errors can occur in Cache memory as well, so check that as well.  Bad
cache memory can cause some very weird errors to occur. 

 - turn off the virus checker (with the network disconnected :-)
