I didn't install AD SP3 on the laptop. I am trying to install the downloaded version AD SP4.I bought the Quadtech PCMCIA to parallel adapter card. If you say it require a parallel port to do the new installation, how did you do that? SP4 will only update SP3, so you must have installed something before now. I also have a Sony Vaio (620 I think) and it doesn't have a parallel port, but AD installed just fine.
