Hi Mike; I do the same as you always. I have the same version of AD SP4. I have never had Excel leave those cells blank. There was a previous version of Excel which truncated after 128 chars, but not leaving the cell blank.
Off hand I don't know. I wish I could help. I will ask around. Altium does a great job with any of these formats, however when we import to into MSoft Excel, fields with large amounts of characters such as the reference designators are omitted. The problem is specific to MSOFT Excel since I have used other spreadsheet programs like Quatro Pro. Has anyone else run into this problem?
