I do not know who posted the request for PADs Translation, but you will need the ASCII file from PADS. Some earlier PADS Works files do not import well. PADs PERFORM and PowerPCB file should not be any problem. Review the hole sizes after importing. The layer mapping may require some manipulation but any design can be upgraded to Protel in a few minutes. The silkscreen will also need adjusted. I have converted probably 100 file with no problems in translation Mike Reagan
