When I run 99SE it is run as a single window spread across 2 to 3 monitors on
an
NVidia 6200 set of cards. The program is assigned a custom set of parameters in
the NVidia Desktop management software & dialog boxes are forced to the centre
of the the screen in which the cursor currently resides. This doesn't always
work perfectly, but at least the dialogs are always in the centre of at least
one of the windows.

If the 6200 video feed to the TV is turned on then it can interfere with the
software when it minimises/restores the Protel windows. In AD6 it is far better
to open Sch /PCB / CAM / etc etc in their own windows instead of splitting one
large window.

One annoying 99SE glitch when running in split window mode is that occasionally
when you click on an object in a pane eg sch, the split will move to the cursor
and then you have to resize the split back to the correct point. It is
preventable if you click on the sheet background in the window before clicking
on an object. You don't always remember this & it can get very annoying at
times. No sign of it in AD6.

Cheers

Don
