Note that while Protel 99 SE satisfactorily opens files that were created using AdvPcb 2.8 (AFAIK), there *can* be problems if you attempt to open AdvPcb 2.8 files in Altium Designer 2004 (and I suspect the previous and succeeding versions (of DXP and AD6 respectively) as well). So if you want to go from AdvPcb 2.8 to Altium Designer, it would definitely be preferable to resave the file(s) using Protel 99 SE as an intermediate step. Regards, Geoff Harland.
