Sceneario:

I have a Protel Design Database. Within the PCB I need to have a few
"custom" footprints, but I do not want to add them to the master "PCB
Footprints.lib" which is located within "Advpcb.ddb" that all databases
reference. I do not want to modify that.

Lets just say that I made these footprints within a local library called
"123.lib" which resides wihin the current database "abc.ddb".

An alternate situation might be that I just "made" a local library "abc.lib"
from the pcb "abc.pcb" within the database "abc.ddb"

To make these libraries usable I have had to "add" them to the PCB design
(or alternately a Schematic) using the "Add/Remove" tab under "Libraries".

Problem here is, even though this/these libraries actually reside within the
database, they have a location dependant address in the design, ie:
C\MyProtel\Designs\???\???\???\abc.ddb\abc.lib .

Or lets just for simplicity say that I want to make a design totally
independant from the outside world, and reliant only on its libraries
internal to the database, such that I can send it anywhere with it's own
libraries and not be dependant on certain other libraries.

One of the reasons that I might want to do this is to become impervious to
problems with changes that might have been made within someone elses master
"PCB Footprints.lib" located within their own "Advpcb.ddb" database.

Another issue involved with this, and assuming I can do this, how do I get
all of the footprints/symbols used in a PCB or Schematic to point back to
the local library made using "Make Library" under the design tab, rather to
other libraries located elsewhere which may have been used originally.

I am probably overlooking something simple here that I should have learned
in Basic Protel 101, but in essence, what I am really asking is how do I
enter something on the order of " *\abc.lib", or something that says "check
me first" or "use internal libraries" without making that local library
address specific.

In other words, how do I enter a normal "\*.lib" in the libraries list that
is maintained in he database.
