Hi Leo,

I assume you mean Mentor PADS PowerLogic schematic capture (Mentor
sells other packages too). Unfortunately, none of the Mentor
schematic capture formats can be translated into Protel format
without the use of a third party conversion program.

You can search the Internet for a company that has the necessary
tools, or you can simply redraw the schematic. I did a quick Google
search, and I found several companies that claim to be able to do
schematic translations. I haven't used any of them, but one that
says they can go from PADS to Protel is http://www.edaxchange.com/ .

Another route would be to translate the PowerLogic schematic to
Orcad, then import the Orcad schematic. Again, a Google search turns
up Elgris Technologies, Inc who claims to provide PADS
Powerlogic->OrCAD translator in the tool E-studio Pro.

Neither of the above appears to be cheap. The first tool is listed
at about $1800 USD, the second doesn't list a price on the Internet
(possibly a bad sign regarding cost).
