That is an excellent question John. I too have wondered what is the best way to manage both schematic and pcb libs. As I am sure there are different ways to do it does anyone have their recommendations?
I have often seen a pcb component that does not have a local library and sometimes I cannot find the library that was used to place the part which forces a make library spawning yet another. Hi, I keep a 'customized' library but sometimes, I've inadvertently created or modified items in the generic libraries. If I create a library from a schematic is there a way of merging it with another library so that the objects that are not in one are merged into the main one.
