my response: I tried that's all that I can say. you wrote "...shouldn't* be any problems with installing any applications which have been truly implemented" my response: The installation was attributed to our IT Department's method of installation not Altium Software. I have successfully installed AD 6.x on several pcs, even saw one running on a Mac. As far as your single layer masking issue...I think that can be addressed by dialing in different display settings. My only beef is the display settings are more complicated than I need. There are a few DRC features I would like and a few I would like to see go away. I agree with some of your comments, but excessive errors can be eliminated by using more rules including exclusion rules. Sorry to hear you are disgruntled about this software. Most of the feed back I get on it is very positive. My only reservation ever, is most of my customers are using Cadence. Is it any better? I don't think so.
