List, I was informed off-list by Gary F. and now by Jøn that I've been misspelling *Jeffrey Downard*'s name, and now, by Jøn, Søren Brier's given name as well on the list of emcees. Thank you both for bringing these errors to my attention, and my apologies to these scholar-emcees. (And, Jøn, as usual, I greatly appreciate and enjoy your irrepressible sense of humor.)
First, correcting Jeffrey's last name allows me to emphasize a decision that he and Jeff Kasser have arrived at concerning how to avoid confusing sending/receiving the posts by/referencing two 'Jeffreys' during their emceeing of Chapter 6, Philosophy of science, about to commence this coming week. I had suggested to them off-list that perhaps even more than the occasional confusion regarding the posts of the several 'Garys' on this list, that co-emcees having the same first name could be especially confusing. So, they've happily decided on the following distinction: *Jeffrey *Downward and *Jeff* Kasser. I'm sure they'd appreciate if participants in their ensuing threaded discussion will also distinguish them in this way. As for the 'misspelling'of *Søren*, I don't think it was that so much as this: when I asked Ben to create this chart of chapters, emcees, and start dates (since he's quite good at creating such things), and the decision was to use all caps for the emcees' names, that he wasn't able to find a capital letter in the same font with the second letter of *Søren's* given name, so he used an umlaut as an alternative spelling.
