Robert, Ben, list,

Robert, of course I completely agree with Ben. I too thank you for your
service, most sincerely and most deeply.

I vaguely recall a message your sent to this list a few years ago wherein
you expressed something of the same or similar sentiment. I respected that
sentiment then and do so now.

I wish I were able to directly connect your impassioned feelings to
Peircean ethical thought--indeed, if they can't be so connected in some
integral way, then that speaks against the ethical implications of his
thinking. Still, I hope, that they can be so connected; yet I am not the
one to take up that challenge, at least not now.
