Dear colleagues,

I write with the results of the annual essay contest and with news about
the Society's next meeting.

First, it is my pleasure to congratulate Dr. Benoit Gaultier for winning
this year's contest with his excellent paper, "The Iconicity of Thought and
its Moving Pictures: Following the Sinuosities of Peirce’s Path."

Congratulations too for honorable mentions to Jimmy Aames (IU
Blioomington), "On the Double Function of the Interpretant," and Kenneth
Boyd (Toronto), ""Peirce, Ladd-Franklin, and the Development of the
Proposition."

Secondly, the Society will hold its annual general meeting and two
scholarly sessions at the 2017 Eastern Division meeting of the American
Philosophical Association, which occurs Jan. 4-7 in Baltimore, MD. See here
