Michael, a long time member of this forum, President of The Charles S. Peirce Society in 1991, is not only one of the foremost linguists of our time, but is perhaps the only one of note who has brought Peircean principles, notably, but not exclusively, those of semeiotic, into his work in linguistics. I am quite familiar with the First Edition of this book, and look forward to reading the Second Edition.
