From a note by Christian Kloesel: If we are to understand Peirce's EG fully--not merely as an isolated, albeit elegant, graphical representation of deductive analysis, but as an integral part of his entire work--and to be able to extend their usefulness into other realms and applications, we must go beyond the 6,000 pages dealing directly with EG. If we understand that pragmatism is the semiotic complement to EG and that it provides an important guard against symbolic (deductive) idealism, we will include in our selection the most important manuscripts on the categories, on logic (and semiotic), on modalities, on pragmatism, on the logic of relatives, and on the logic of vagueness.
