John S.,
I will ask the technical support at IUPUI about it tomorrow (I've gotten
weekend responses from them in the past).
I could be wrong, but I doubt it's because of a language filter. My
first guess - a mere guess - is that there's some sort of bad coding
that occurs when you send certain emails. In past years I found problems
of that kind, cured either by typing from scratch, or by copying and
pasting text into sufficiently "primitive" text handlers (Microsoft
Works Spreadsheet in particular) and copying from there into a new
email. Also, sometimes the bad coding is in just once place in the
email, so parts can be sent without a problem.
I will nevertheless be sure to ask the IUPUI technical people about
language filters and the like on the server.
Best, Ben

I said "Thanks for the note of support".
And then I made some further comments. But those notes
never got through the filter.
