Introduction To Ship Management Diploma      

A flexible one year course to provide a basic knowledge of key areas of the shipping industry.

Focusing on the support staff within shipping, the course aims to provide specialised knowledge and understanding for particular roles within an organisation. The course combines a compulsory module with one of four electives:

Compulsory Module

  • The Business of Shipping

Elective Modules

  • Purchasing and Procurement
  • Crew Management
  • Chartering and Marine Contracts
  • Technical Management

The course is delivered by the use of a virtual learning environment (VLE), with all learning materials required for progress available online. Each module comprises of learning through a range of media, from traditional essay type information, to the use of internet resources and video.
