Dear Sir/Madam
We are looking for able seamen for work on a modern high-tech luxury
sailing yacht (private vessel not a charter yacht, area of operation
in Indian Ocean, Med and Carib outside Indonesia) who excel in the
following requirements:
This will be a position that will have close interaction with the
owners so only seriously qualified personnel plse
- Excellent engine and mechanical skills: marine diesel (turbo
charged perkins) as well as hydraulic systems.
- Good knowledge of marine electronic system maintenance.
- Able to work on strict maintenance schedules and willingness to
learn new systems.
- Experience with marine navigation and sea-watches preferred.
- Adequate computer skills preferred.
- Flexible and 'can do' personality with good appearance (well-groomed
and good polite manners).
- Christian background preferred.
- High degree of independence and 'self-starting' for long periods on
board.
- Basic English a must.
- Sailing experience a plus.
