Pertamina ramps up domestic fleet
(Jan 27 2012)
Indonesian state oil and gas company, Pertamina, plans to purchase 15 tankers
for around $370 mill in the next two years.
These will be used to distribute refined fuel and liquefied natural gas across
Indonesia's more than 17,000 islands, an official told the Jakarta Globe.
Pertamina said that 12 tankers were expected to be delivered to the company
this year, two in 2013 and one in 2014. These are part of a plan to buy 26
tankers through 2015.
The company also said that it was optimistic that its net income would reach
Rp21 trill ($2.4 bill) for 2011, which would be considerably higher than the
company's original target of Rp17.7 trill, the news wire reported.
