Dear All, Sekedar sbg summary saya dari hasil Seminar ECDIS 11 April 2012 :
ECDIS : Electronic Chart Display and Information System Fungsi : Automatic display of own ship and targets' positions, automatic updating, automatic alarm when setting is beyond, etc. Jadi, ECDIS pada akhirnya akan menggantikan Peta Kertas dikapal seiring dg pengembangan software navigasi: Official ENC ( Electronic Navigational Chart). Namun tdk akan dg serta-merta, krn membutuhkan wkt yg cukup lama utk pembuatan ENC seluruh dunia.Jadi ECDIS dipakai dan Paper Chart masih tetap akan menjadi back up-nya Utk wilayah Indonesia, DISHIDROS TNI AL telah menyelesaikan 250 cell dan masih sdg menyelesaikan 200 cell lainnya Sebagian mengatakan adanya ECDIS ini akan menambah workload Deck Officer, tapi sebenarnya justru dg menguasai penggunaan ECDIS ini, maka akan mempermudah pekerjaan, efficient dan effective Kapal kapal yg dibangun setelah July 2012 wajib di lengkapi dg perangkat ECDIS dan Kapal-kapal yg ada saat ini wajib dilengkapi ECDIS (tanpa memperhatikan ukurannya)mulai dari July 2012 dan paling lambat July 2018 Hal ini sesuai dengan : IMO SOLAS V/19 (Revised by: Res.MSC 282(86) 05 June 2009 2.1. All ships irrespective of size shall have: 2.1.4 Nautical charts and nautical publications to plan and display the ship's route for the intended voyage and to plot and monitor positions throughout the voyage; an ECDIS is also accepted as meeting the chart carriage requirements Maka yg terpenting dr adanya ECDIS ini adalah : All bridge officers should have general ECDIS training that follows the IMO Model Course 1.27. Until the 1st of January 2012, when the new STCW code will include mandatory ECDIS training Sesuai dg STCW 1978 as amended in 2010 (Manila Amendment) required knowledge and proficiency of ships officers on ECDIS both in Operational Level and Management level (STCW Code Section A-II/1, A-II/2 and A-II/3). PSC is authorized to determine if "Master and deck watchkeeping officers are able to produce appropriate documentation that generic and type-specific ECDIS familiarization has been undertaken." Inspections might require physical demonstrations of competency by every crew as well as evidence of inclusion of ECDIS operation procedures every company's onboard SMS Make sure selected training institute is following the IMO and manufacturer recommended training scheme and is certified by external auditors e.g. : ECDIS Training di MTC Pertamina Rp.3jt selama 5 hari kerja http://www.pertamina-mtc.com/schedule.html ECDIS (+ BTM,+ IMDG Code) Rp. 2,5jt selama 5 hari kerja http://www.binasena.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1&Itemid=3 Tapi menurut saya, bila training ECDIS utk deck officer di fasilitasi oleh produsen/distributor ECDIS yg memasangkan ECDIS ke kapal, maka akan lebih baik hasilnya.Tapi tentunya ini hrs atas kemauan shipowner-nya.
