Just sharing, semoga bermanfaat bahwa di dalam UU no 17 / 2008 tentang pelayaran pasal 1 definisi disebutkan bahwa Nakhoda adalah seorang awak kapal sebagai pemimpin tertinggi dengan wewenang dan tanggung jawab tertentu. Dalam psl 137, 143, 144 juga di sebut bahwa nakhoda memiliki wewenang penegakan hukum . Dan masih banyak lagi aturan lain baik nasional ataupun internasional yang intinya Nakhoda sebagai pimpinan tertinggi di atas kapal dan wakil perusahaan.
