While this may not qualify as an undergraduate public finance text, and is
certainly not standard mainstream, this seems an appropriate opportunity to
welcome the republication by Transaction Publishers of Jim O'Connor's
"Fiscal Crisis of the State" (ISBN 0-7658-0860-9, $29.95). Perhaps a
supplement to the probably mainstream text you'll find yourself saddled
with.
