Frankly, I don't give a rat's ass what Petras writes. If I needed
legitimation from some professor or another, I wouldn't be me. I like
being me. When Petras accused the FSLN of "selling out" the revolution in
1990 because they didn't suspend the elections, I wrote an article for the
NY Nicaragua Network newsletter taking him to task. Hero worship is
appropriate for rock musicians (I like Captain Beefheart) but not Marxism.
