Re TIAA/CREF:
Sounds good. I have seen several initiatives on the mailed ballot in the ~3
years that I have been in it, and it seems like this one has been there
before -- but never using internet for organizing. Hey, the "YSN"
('unemployed' Young Scientist Network) used the internet to organize and
get folks elected onto the board of the American Physical Society a year or
two ago.
Speaking of TIAA/CREF, wasn't there some small blurb in a paper a couple of
years ago mentioning some shoddy practices of TIAA/CREF (the particulars
escape me, but I was really angry when I read about it - something to do
with the S&L debacle? maybe...anyone remember or comment on relevancy for
stockholder action?).
Organize...organize...organize
