Doug: I'm sure this is indeed the 'regulationist ' Aglietta, but I don't know the 'story'..still, perhaps we'd better all read the paper first? IMHO (is that right, Jim?) regulation theory had one VERY important plus in Aglietta's original version: it focused the analysis of capitalism firmly on LABOUR. Unfortunately, as it developed in the 1980s, the emphasis seemed to shift towards how to continue running a Keynesian welfare-state capitalism in the Thatcher/Reagan era - a very different focus. But it still provides a much more acceptable framework for radical-academic debate on policy issues than other varieties of non-Marxist paradigm, like post-Keynesianism. So how do I get this paper?
