I am not discussing whether Mao led 30 million of his fellow nationals to the slaughter. I recall my suggesting that this particular debate was not terribly helpful (at least to me). What would be helpful to me is a statement regarding your views of the current Chinese administration in comparison with that of Mao's time. If that means resurrecting some points from the Marxism list, then by all means do so. There are those who subscribe to PEN-L who do not subscribe to the Marxism list.
