No, that is exactly what you are doing by raising the question of
"political correctness": dragging it down to a crude and provocative level.
You know this as well as me. I got out of graduate school myself in 1967,
but this was not a license to stop reading and learning. There are
questions being discussed in this thread that require a background. It is
like going to an academic conference where people are presenting papers and
we have to put up with somebody in the audience muttering about "political
correctness". You have given Michael plenty of excuses already to unsub
you. I wish to hell you would exercise a little restraint and stay out of a
discussion in which you have nothing substantial to add.
