Along with the usual class collaborationist and nationalist crusades the
AFL-CIO promotes , this "virtual labor day" is no real surprise, as the AFL
has been promoting the usual deceit of the unions - "'virtual class
struggle"
to deceive and demoralize workers for many decades.
A on-line voter registration booth is the usual trap of promoting the
worst illusions
in capitals election circus. And the AFL CIO makes no bones about openly
backing
capital and its well financed political sucker games . Whatever new State
cutbacks
and austerity pummel the workers, the AFL will beat the drums to politicaly
work
for and support its preferred group of corporate whores for the rich,
bought and paid for by the
bosses--with few tens of millions of $$$ in AFL political vigorish. All to
cut in capitals labor lieutenants
for their share of the surplus value too.. .
The AFL-CIOs 'symbol' of the map and handshake --is the political symbol
of these
labor merchandizers support for US capitals domination in the world and the
hand
clasp sybolizes their highly touted "brotherhood of labor and capital"
Even Eugene Debs would puke if he witnessed this digusting state of
affairs of the Meany-Sweeney era , probably its far worse than the AFL
even under Gompers and Co.
