jks---

the question for those professions, lawyers, economists, even professors ,
etc
is mainly their 'class stand' in our bourgeois society , the rub is just
'which side are you on, etc?

Of course by the very nature of class /social laws and dominant social
realtions, the vast
majority of the professions will , given their relative priviliges, side
with the ruling class.

there are many exceptions of course, but this can mainly be judged (pardon
my pun) by
practice, those gallant mavericks that betray their masters and side with
 the exploited, those
oppressed by capital, and risk retribution..

but firstly in recognition of whose interetsts the 'laws' serve. In the
legal-political superstructure of the
ruling bourgeois , the laws are geared to serve the perpetuation of the
owners of productive property,
the owners of the industries/finance of the nation in primacy , no matter
the form of government,
be it ultra-democratic or fascist..

in practice today , to paraphrase a bit the reactionary US supreme court
'justice' R Taney from a previous epoch of capital . " The working class
has no " rights" the capitalists are bound to respect " . In reality the
useful producers ( waged -salaried workers) can only gain that which their
collective strength can consciously organize to demand, and be willing to
fight for most tenaciously, politically, economically, etc..
