Like I said, Milken-hating implies that the rest of the financial
racket is legitimate and upstanding, so if the bad apples are
isolated the system will work well. That seems deeply liberal to me.
I never villified Clinton "to the extreme." I'm full of criticism of
him, but, unlike Hitchens, I never supported his impeachment. Quite
the contrary, I wanted the impeachers to lose.
