I can't access the original article from Sept. 15th (or I should say I'm too 
cheap to pay for the archive of the article).  But this letter from today's 
Minneapolis Tribune refers to the article in which Northwest states its 
intention to fire workers who tested the security system a day or a few after  
the WTC/P tragedies.

Welcome security tests 

The Sept. 15 article "Northwest says it will fire workers who test security" 
made me fume. Excuse me, but if the employees of an airline company 
don't test the system, who will? Perhaps CEO Richard Anderson doesn't 
feel it needs testing. I think he's wrong. 

After last week, the FAA and all airlines should welcome and embrace the 
assistance of any employees in and around airports who help make 
security systems as secure as possible.
