On Lumumba. Some years ago there was an aricle in the Sunday Times magazine, I forget its specific subject, that matter-of-factly noted that Eisenhower had requested that Lumumba be killed. I forget the rest of the details, but the attempts (eventually successful) to have Lumumba killed were one of those open secrets which so frequently characterize imperialism. It sounds like the "exposure" that Lou mocks is the kind of exposure of the obvious that conceals how often the obvious is concealed. :-)
