I don't see it in conspiracy terms, but there is something about the "old school ties" of Bush and Kerry that is more than a bit offputting. Yesterday morning Don Imus was talking to Doug Brinkley who is the author of "Tour of Duty: John Kerry and the Vietnam War". He made the point that Kerry *really likes* George W. Bush as a person and that their roots at Yale has a lot to do with this. Speaking of Imus, Kerry is a frequent guest on his morning cracker-barrel hate-fest and once said that his opponent in a Senatorial race "took more vacations than a welfare client".
