L: Nader's only about 30 percent of the way there, though he's trying hard. The template is absolutely anti-abortion, anti-gun control, anti-gay marriage, etc. Nader appears at best lukewarm or agnostic in dimensions like these from a cultural-conservative standpoint. He's still in granola-land.
JD: I think Clinton himself was good at coopting and discombobulating the GOP on the culture side.
